Nido de Montessori is committed to providing children with a supportive environment that provides opportunities for the child’s true nature to be revealed. We value education which builds on individual strengths while fostering curiosity and inspiring creativity and critical thinking skills.

 

OUR PHILOSOPHY

 

Nido de Montessori supports children’s foundational literacy and numeracy through experiential, interdisciplinary learning. Our innovative classroom and outdoor garden nurtures children’s curiosity and inspires a lifelong love of learning. Our Montessori program is complimented by our afternoon inquiry projects, intentionally designed to support social and emotional growth and forge global connections and the thoughtful use of technology to enhance and support understanding.

Nido de Montessori is a brand-new daycare facility opening its doors in January 2018. This is a unique opportunity to join our community at its inception to help create the foundation for a nurturing a community of learners. We are a diverse educational community that is deeply committed to the Montessori philosophy. We offer a supportive and collaborative teaching environment with opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Our program is tailored to the individual needs of students with an intentional focus on children’s social and emotional development. We understand the importance of enthusiastic, dedicated teachers and are seeking lifelong learners with a passion for education to join our team. We are seeking teachers who are connected to the Montessori philosophy with the capacity for communicating this philosophy to parents and community members. Teachers with a genuine warmth and love for guiding children and their families as they embark on their education are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to applicants who hold a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field with an AMI Montessori diploma, however we understand the critical importance of relevant experience in the field of education. Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English with previous experience with curriculum development, observation and assessment.
